In an exclusive interview C-ITV spoke to Michael Hegenbarth, the Chairman of ISO Committee for Contactless Interfaces (SC17/WG8) in regards to the current NFC standards out there. Especially in light of the recent news from MNO’s that Apple may not have NFC in their next iPhone, thanks to confusion over NFC standards.

In the interview Hagenbarth voices his frustration that the NFC standard being followed by all of today’s handset manufacturers is 8 years out of date and may not present a viable future roadmap. Here’s what he has to say…
