Atos Worldline, which brings together Atos Origin’s expertise in hi-tech transactional services, is partnering with CASSIS International, one of the key suppliers of NFC and TSM solutions. The aim of this partnership is to implement complete solutions enabling service providers – banks, public transport operators, telecoms operators, distributors, etc. – to deploy innovative and secure contactless applications (payments, transport season tickets, loyalty cards, authentication, etc.).

This agreement is concluded within the context of ongoing projects which Atos Worldline is delivering to develop applications for secure contactless electronic transactions. Atos Worldline has renowned expertise in mobile applications and a strong industrial capacity with billions of transactions processed each year on its platforms.

CASSIS International brings its range of “Trusted Service Management” (TSM) solutions and services and its internationally recognised expertise in the field of NFC solutions, enabling the deployment and extended management of the lifecycle of applications securely integrated into mobile phones on all types of secured elements (SIM cards, SD cards, onboard OS).

“We are delighted to have concluded this agreement which will reinforce our hi-tech transactional services in regard to payments and eCS (online services for clients, individuals and communities). This approach signals the willingness of Atos Worldline to offer its clients ever more innovative solutions enabling them to stay competitive in their market,” said Claude France Executive Vice President Business, Marketing and Strategy at Atos Worldline. “This partnership will also support Atos Worldline’s expansion strategy at an international level.”

“This agreement will provide us with a unique opportunity to combine our TSM solutions, which are among the most used in the world, with the capacity of Atos Origin to manage complex projects and operate critical transactional services for large accounts with high-spec SLAs in secure data centres. Our alliance with Atos Origin reinforces the status of CASSIS as pioneer and global leader in the field of secure NFC solutions, in particular with the first commercial deployments of contactless mobile services in Korea and Malaysia,” said Shin Jin Won, EVP Technology and Services at CASSIS International. This partnership also underlines our growing presence in Europe where our expertise and solutions are benefitting 8 financial institutions operating on 2 main payment schemes, 2 of the largest mobile operators and a major urban transport operator.”

With the end of a 5-year maturity cycle which is now seeing NFC technology ready to be manufactured on a large scale, Atos Origin and CASSIS International are observing a growing demand for the deployment of increasingly complex and sophisticated NFC services from major providers of mobile services in Europe (banks, public transport companies, mobile phone operators, distributors, etc.). Faced with this growing demand, companies are seeking a comprehensive and mature offer that provides the competence and resources necessary to meet their demanding requirements as quickly as possible, and which is often transversal, multichannel or integrated into a complex mobile offer.
